Audio Transcription Services

We can transcribe your audio recordings into any format you choose, whether the source is interviews, dictation, conferences, focus groups or oral history, and whether the destination is a published transcript or input into software analysis.

We guarantee our work to be accurate and timely.

We can accept many forms of audio, including: CD, minicassettes, cassettes, European microcassettes, VHS, MiniDisc and DVD. We also accept digital audio files from all brands of recorders. Formats we have transcribed include: wav, mp3, real audio, dss, dvf, aiff, as well as digital video files. We work primarily in Microsoft Word, but we can accept and deliver many other word processing formats.

Transcription Service Rates

Our rate for transcription is $32 per hour. We transcribe at between 3 and 8 times the length of the recording, depending on the quality of recording and the number of people speaking. For a typical one on one interview, it takes us five to six times the length of the tape to transcribe it, depending on, among other factors, the ease of differentiating the speakers and the quality of the recording.
