NO CHANGE IN RATES
At Wordsworth we have been struck by the downturn in the economy. However, we are keenly aware that our customers are also affected. That is why we continue to keep our rates at $32/hour for all of our work. Our rates have not increased since the fall of 2006, in fact only being raised once in the past six years. We hope that keeping them at this level will be a help for those of you having hard times as well.
FORMATTING SERVICES
Visit our revised web site at http://www.wordsworth.com/formatting.htm to read about some of the specialized formatting services we are now highlighting. At Wordsworth we can provide closed captioning for video files to make them accessible to the hearing impaired or simply easier to follow. In addition to closed captioning, we can also format your documents to meet Section 508 accessibility requirements. Section 508 are the federal guidelines for making electronic documents accessible to all, such as formatting PDF files to be correctly read by screen readers for the visually impaired. If you are publishing electronic documents, contact us to see how you can make them accessible for everyone.
In addition, self-publishing has become easier than ever. Many of our customers have chosen to have their documents published and we can help with that process. Sites like Lulu.com and local copy shops have options for publishing your work. We have experience with preparing your documents for that process. We can help you go from handwritten manuscript to a bound book.
FAMILY HISTORY
Self-publishing is one of the exciting options now available to everyone. We've enjoyed working with customers on new projects around family history. One customer wrote his life story, added pages of photos and had the book published as a gift to his family members. Another customer asked us to type up hundreds of letters sent by his parents to family members. Other customers have had us type journals or diaries as a way of preserving their family's history. An electronic copy can assure you never lose this valuable information. There have never been so many ways of sharing your family's stories, such as a CD-ROM, a printed book, or a PDF for a web site.
